Hi! I'm Ronald Castro!


I was born in Buenaventura, I grew up in Cali (Colombia) and I arrived in Spain in 2001. 

As a child, I played sports and danced; I did break dance, Cali style salsa and other styles.

In 2005, I started competing at salsa and bachata regional level competitions, managing to conquer the podium at one of them. It was in 2012 that I got my first title as the champion of Spain at Bachata Open.

A few months later, I have continued my career along with Alba Sánchez(my current partner) and have won titles such as Champion of Spain and Europe at BachataStars in 2012, double world champion in teams in 2015 and 2016, double champion of Europe in 2012 and 2014, runner-up at World Bachata Masters 2016, double world champion at World Bachata Masters 2015 and 2018, and champion at Bachata Summer 2019…

Apart from that, I teach at my own dance school and, over the weekends, I teach my style "Estilos Unidos" at festivals around the world.

 Is this course for beginners?

If you're completely new to the dance world, I don't recommend it to you because you probably won't feel comfortable with the level. If you have danced another style and know the basics of bachata, this course can help you improve, but some classes may be more difficult. You can press pause and repeat as many times as you want, as well as ask anything during our live classes or by sending me a message on Instagram.
